This became known as the “germ theory” of disease and this was the foundation of numerous applications, such as the large scale brewing of beer, wine-making and other antiseptic operations and facilitated the nature of contagious diseases. His work in germ theory also led him and his team to create vaccinations for anthrax and rabies. He invented the process of pasteurization, cooling of food stuff, milk to stop microbial action, which brought him more fame and recognition.
